Brrr, beautiful time of year! How to spend your Saturday's at Colchester Town Hall

Turn your alarm clock off for the holidays.

In addition to watching your favourite programmes (Dancing on Ice, anyone?), watching the top songs, being able to eat even more snacks, and other relaxing activities you find relaxing, your Saturdays have something extra to look forward to.

You can actually have a social one too.

Saturdays are all about music and public events at Colchester Town Hall.

Events are happening all week, with many of them very free.

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN GET UP TO

Crowdsurfing at Classic Love

It sounds like the kind of thing you dream about doing, but you won’t actually be able to do it at the Town Hall.

You can do it anyway, though.

Crowdsurfing in the depths of a room in Colchester Town Hall is now an official activity and is on every Saturday at noon.

All you have to do is stand in one spot for two minutes, turn away from the wall on the left side of the stage where the crowd is assembled, and look directly at the crowd.

As long as you can do this without dropping to the floor or letting the crowd catch your nose, you’re clear to go.

It’s a fun way to build your crowd surfing confidence!

10 year exchange of allegiance at Colchester Brass

Don’t forget to tune in to this live broadcast on the free live stream every Saturday at 12.45pm.

It will be the only way you can watch this event live.

The pipe band members of Colchester Brass will be making their 10th anniversary pledge and exchanging their allegiance to Colchester Borough Council.

John Grey, Chair of Colchester Chamber of Commerce, will receive the pledge from Pipe Officer Louis Groombridge and Plaque Sergeant Robert Perkins.
