Beth Ford: "As a Leader in the Community... I Fostered Leadership"

Beth Ford, the new CEO of Land O’ Lakes C.E.C. – the largest water utility in the state – was a woman in a male dominated business when she opened her namesake bookkeeping firm.

Ford began her lifelong career as a bookkeeper after graduating from law school. From there, she began volunteering in the community as an advisor for the Chamber of Commerce. From there, her expertise expanded into real estate brokerage and leasing. She eventually became president of Land O’ Lakes Distributing, where she led the company to become the leader in distilling and distillation in Florida.

Ford became the CEO of the company in 2001. She also served as president of Florida Wine and Spirit and Southwest Bicycles.

As a leader in the community, Ford has also led the Jack Knight Leadership Award to the Kennedy School of Government and Public Service at the University of Florida. Ford is also an active member of Florida Women’s Board and Florida Bar Foundation.

She is also a former board member of Chambers of Commerce in Sebring, Sebring Center for Healthy Living, Jacksonville Leadership Society and the Woman’s Club of St. Augustine. Ford is an excellent role model for women – as she is a proud mother of two daughters and a husband of 32 years.
