Police in Hull are investigating the death of a 60-year-old woman as a possible homicide.
The woman, named locally as Liz Sidwell, was found dead at her home in Leather Lane on Tuesday evening.
Humberside Police said its investigation was ongoing, but it is not thought that anyone else was involved.
Ms Sidwell was reportedly unemployed and had a string of convictions.
She had links to the city’s high-profile woman fighter Charisse Hall, whose coaching of fighters Sian Evans and Eva Brozyna on a karate curriculum in recent years included questions of physical safety.
Ms Sidwell was reportedly arrested on suspicion of supplying cocaine in February and also had a conviction for common assault.

Police said officers are appealing for anyone who was at the address in Leather Lane at the time of the woman’s death on Tuesday to come forward.
No arrests have been made, but officers are said to be keen to speak to three people they have named as possible witnesses.
A man and woman, aged around 40 and 36 respectively, were interviewed under caution as witnesses, and are not in custody.
A teenage girl who lived in the same street as Ms Sidwell, and whose family have asked to remain anonymous, said police had gone through the house “step by step” and questioned the family on what they could see.
“I’m not totally shocked. For whatever reason, you never know how something like this can happen to one of your neighbours. You never know,” she said.
“That girl [Ms Sidwell] was quite the character and always smiling and talking to people.
“But her dad used to get picked on in the street a lot because he got in his car a lot and people thought it was funny, which made him upset.
“But all he did was drive a Bentley.”
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
